After five years working at Sacred Heart, J.D. can’t help but feel that the same things seem to happen over and over again at the hospital. Meanwhile, following his drunken breakdown in the wake of three accidental deaths, Dr. Cox returns to work, but Elliot believes that Cox has lost his usual steely confidence when he hesitates to order immediate treatment for a patient. When her attempt to help him backfires, Elliott calls Dr. Cox on his behavior. Later, Carla gets fed up with Turk flaunting everything he can do that she can’t, now that she’s pregnant.
